Oliver 550 Special

I am trying to figure out if my Oliver 550 is a 550 Special. It has no hydraulics and a different grill. I haven't found a single photo of an oliver with this type of grill and i'm wondering if it is even factory. Does anyone also know if a 550 special would be rare and what its worth would be on a nut and bolt restoration?

Numbers on serial tag are 45-0800

140917-519

The grill, rear end top cover and seat are unlike anything
Ive seen on an oliver 550. Here are some pictures
If anyone can help me out.

At first i thought grill was homemade but it has curvature
As if it would be factory. The weird seat has factory paint on it as well but havent seen a seat like it

That grill doesn't look factory to me. Does the nose piece look like a Super 55? Does it have slots where the usual grill would go?

Nose piece is exactly like all 550s to me. It just seems like to good of fabrication on grill to not be factory. Does anyone know anything about oliver 550 turf special or 550 mobile home special.

That tractor would have had a fiberglass grill when new ging by the serial number. Call the museum and get a build card.

I recently got the build card from oliver for my 550
Tractor. I am trying to figure out if it is a 550 special. I have attached photo of build card. The tractor came factory with no 3 point or hydraulics which was regular equipment. Also came with swinging drawbar. If anyone could help that would be awsome

Might be a trailer tug for use in the RV industry
or just a tug.
Did your build card say where it was shipped?

I almost bet that is what it is now. The Build card
said it was shipped to omaha nebraska. Before i
started restoring the tractor there were omaha parks
and recreation stickers on the tractor but i just
figured it probably pulled a mower or something.
Pulling campers at at RV lot in one of the parks
makes sense.
