I'm rebuilding the hydraulic detent valves on our White 2-105. The service manual says to remove two seats but I can't determine how to get them out.

Any suggestions on getting them out?

I need to think. My biggest problem was especially on new tractors that we picked up from other dealers that had set on their lots the handles had rusted to the pivots and would not kick out. You are getting to the time period when I left the dealership and did not work on many of those. Don't you live over here by Ft Wayne?

Once you remove the two end caps, springs, and poppets all you have to do is take a small punch and push it through the hole in one seat pushing the punch against the plunger in the valve it will push the seat out of the other side then push the plunger the other way and it will push out the other seat.

Thanks 2 stroke dd, I'll try that when I get back to working on it. I thought about doing that but didn't want to until someone said it was ok.
