Well after checking with my Oliver buddy's you will need to switch the power steering lines around to make it steer right going from the row crop WF to the Under slung WF. You will need to change the steering yoke on the bottom of the steering box, They are different (pic 1 & 2).

Now to change or pull the axel out (I hope I get this right). First thing it would be best if the tractor is on cement (in the shop) and chalk both back wheels front and back so it don't move. Jack the tractor front end up (just so the front tires are off the ground)and block it up under the bell housing on the tube and not block the 4 bolt holes for the back of the axel (pic 3). In a pinch 2 big pieces of a log with some 6x6 blocks will work good. At this point it would be a good time to take the tie rod ends off the steering yoke under the steering box. They can be a pain to get off.

A loader, 3pt boom pole or an engine hoist would be good to hook a chain to and put around the axel on one or both sides to hold the front end up as you unbolt it. I think there are 6 or 7 bolts in a 1/2 circle under the front tub casting and 3 on the wish bone to take off. I would do the wish bone last and have someone ready to hold it so it don't swing down on you or block it if you have them. If everything is unhooked the front end should come off the tractor.

With the front end off now would be a good time to change the steering yoke as it will be easer to get to now. There is a bolt that goes through the yoke and the shaft that has to come out( pic 4 hard to see it but there). Once its out there is a cover on top (center) of the steering box with 2 bolts that needs to come off to get to the shaft so it can be pushed up from the bottom to get the yoke off to switch it. Just don't get it a tooth off after you push it up and switch it. You will have to look in your book as I cant remember how the top of that shaft is held in? If you need more room take one of the side panels off to give you a little more room to get in there. The steering lines can be changed under the dash or under the fuel tank ware the lines are coupled, My buddy said you may have to do some bending on the lines to make them fit right top or bottom.

Its not a hard job just a pain but for 2 guys not bad. To put one back in start with the back and work forward and hook the tie rods so you can aline the wheels. With all of this think SAFTEY first and be SAFE! I really hope I got this right and didn't forget anything. I hope this helps you guys out. Bandit

Thanks BANDIT, I got all the bolts out and tie rods off this afternoon. Mine was easy with no engine or radiator in the way and I pulled the grill so I could pry power steering cylinder up and off. I posted a couple pics on the 1650-1750 front end post. Thanks again, Greg

Married to Allis, I sent you an email. Looks like I will be chasing snow flakes around the parking lots for the next few days. Greg
