Oliver 66 Super

Found one of these worth the money but distance will make me trailer it home. It has hydraulic hookups, 3 point hitch, new battery, alternator conversion. Havent seen it in person yet but owner says it runs great and he just bushhogged 4 acres with it and it ran strong. Looks to be some original paint but is missing all the side sheet metal-both sides. Anyone here have used tin thats reasonable? I did find one rear piece for the pulley side. Thanks

Those are available new,all primed and ready to paint. Korves Oliver,Lynch Farms Tractor Parts, plenty of other places.

Found the rears at a reasonable price. I was going to go with the open engine fronts but dont think the right side will work with the alternator conversion.

Just got some better pics of it and found out its not a super but just a regular 66 RC. It is kinda rare for it to have a factory 3 point hitch and hydraulics though isnt it ?

I wouldn't say the hydraulics are rare, but the 3pt makes it unusual. I'd go to a 12 volt generator and throw that alternator as far as you can. Mine has a 12 volt generator from a later Oliver. No change at all to the wiring, just mount the gen on the original bracket and the 12v reg wires up the same as the 6.

Planning on getting it home today via a 100 mile trailer ride. Went and saw it yesterday and drove it around some. Runs great, good pto, lift is outstanding ( holds rock steady even with engine off ) and still has all the parts except for side curtains and belt pulley. It even has 2 of the old Hydra-Electric switches mounted on the steering column. I'll probably sell these or try to trade for some tin. Steered easy and turns on a dime with no play in the steering. I'm really impressed with this little tractor.

Sounds like it's a lot nicer than this one was when I got it. It had been in a fence row for seven years. A tree had fallen across the hood,it had a bent rod and was stuck tight as a drum. All the sheet metal was there, but it was rusted off at the bottom and couldn't be saved. I bought a better hood and new rear side covers and had a pair of louvered panels here off another tractor that were pitted pretty bad,but I kept sanding and filling with sandable primer until I got them good enough for who they were for.

Good looking tractor RRLund . I'm gonna try to round up the side curtains as I think they look so much better that way. This tractor has cost me a fortune though already lol. I was gonna have to borrow a trailer to get it home but found a deal on a 18ft dovetail car hauler and going tomorrow to get it. Also bought a new muffler, used rear panel (was missing on one side), seat cover, and gonna replace the steering wheel too.
