I am looking to replace the worn out mismatched tires on my super 77... Can someone out there recommend a good tire that will do decent at tractor pulls that will not break my wallet. Also i plan on trying to pull the tractor so should I fill them or not.

Thanks,
Jake

Jake, What weight classes are you going to pull in and what size tires do they allow for those classes? Firestone 151s are considered best by most, a lot of guys say about 1/2 worn out are best for pulling, but I have a over 100 1st 2nd and 3rd place trophies and I have always used new tires. run them dry, Chuck

I bought a set of firestones that are about 60% left to use on the 88 this summer. I'm not sure of the age of these tires, but they're made of the old "hard" rubber.

dont fill them , hard too adjust weight with fluid , half tread tires work best , you can find them just have too be patient what kind of tires do you have know , i ran mismatched tires for a while when i first started pulling and could not tell the difference won a few pulls with them,

most folks around here put on Firestone Traction Field and Road's, not the old Field and Road, 2 different tires.
