Going to look at and probably buy a 1550 utility tomorrow. Its pretty rough and missing the side panels and grille. Any body got these parts? The side panels are for an early model 1550 one piece, and same as a 1600. The grille would be the same as 1600 or 1650. Also need a carb. thanks.

Where you at, there are salvage yards all over and just parted out a 1600 on ebay. Just bing or google Oliver 1550 tractor ebay. I have a side panel off a 1600 in good shape and grill off a 1650 and I am about an hour from Albany New York.

All the sheet metal on the Utility is the same as a regular 1550, Except to the floor plates and the battery boxes and there covers/step. Ether new style or old style side panels will work on it. I think any 1550 or 1600 grill will fit it no problem not so sure about the 1650 grill but it maybe the same. The carb I cant answer that one, Been to long sense I did some switching around. Hope you get her cause there hard to find. I know I really like mine. Bandit

I live in SC and I went and looked at this tractor last Saturday, and you have your work cut out for you if you are going to fix it up. Good Luck!

Good for you! Lucky thing is all the sheet metal on the utility is the same as a regular 1550 even the finders. The only thing you wont find is the battery box cover/step, Mine are missing and I cant find them any ware. I am going to have to make some for mine. Anyway I will give you a heads up on these tractors. When you get it running gears 1-4 are a little slower than a regular 1550 5 & 6 gear are faster than a regular 1550, When you get in 6th high hang on to your hat your going for a ride! I think you are going to like this tractor when you get her going. Bandit

You're right about that, Bandit. Mine's a row crop with the high speed trans. And it's on 16.9-38s. I'm not taking it on the road till I'm sure the brakes work good.

The other tractor was an IHC 404. It looked better but engine was stuck and rear end full of water. However, it did have four like new tires.

I love a good challenge and have restored worse. Figured I could part it and get my money back. Hated to see it go to scrap.

I would fix her up as there were not many built. Go to Tractor House they 2 on there for sale now for $8950 and $14000. I don't know what you gave for it but if you got it cheap enough you could make some money if you wanted to. But if your like me I looked for this one for years before I found it and got it bought, 4 miles from the farm! To tell you the truth this one is the first one I had ever seen in person, Seen plenty of pictures of them but never in person. I have my wheels run in and it goes on my trailer perfect, The trailer is 6'4" outside to outside. This I hope will be the planting tractor this year, Just cant wait. Bandit
