Talking about the 1850's below kinda got me thinking back to those years when Pop sold Olivers. At the time it struck me that 1650/1850 owners were of the same ilk as IH 806/856 owners. Meaning you couldn't pry the owners from those tractors with a case of dynamite. Other makes and models have their followers, but an 806/856, 1650/1850 owner would sooner have a leg cut off than part with their tractor. The dedication to those models just seemed to be a cut above everything else.

I have a 4020 I've had for years. Also had a 1900 fwd at the same time. Sold the 1900 as I needed more power and have "kicked" myself ever since. Both were 1964 models. Give me an Oliver anyday. Bob
