2150 Cockshutt

My nephew has a 2150 in storage. He would like to try and start it. Fuel filters are changed. Anything to worry about concerning the injection pump or injectors. I don't know how long it sat, but was told it ran about 2 years ago.

The hydraulic cover has been loosened. Was told a new pump should be installed. We have not investigated this yet. What harm could result if started for a short time? The tractor is not in a heated shop at this time.

We will investigate the hydraulics further in warm weather. Next move will be to look at the hydraulics without starting. Where is a reliable source of hydraulic pumps? Just asking. Thanks.

John Schwiebert (sp) posts on here a lot- I think it was him that had a test you can do on the injector pump before turning it over, to see if it is free. If its stuck, turning it over will do a lot of damage. Might do a shout-out to him on the subject.
