Cockshutt 35 starter

I have a Cockhutt 35 with q Hercules GO198 engine. Does anyone know the starter model number for this tractor? The starter I have is a Prestolite but it has no tag on it. Parts are easier to find with the starter model number if it can be cross referenced.

The tag on mine is a little mangled and hard to read. Mine has an Autolite. Its a MCL or MDL6017. Hope this helps.

This would be a 6 volt starter.
The Prestolite number should be something like GHD6001 or GHD6001AB.

I'm curious of Wilson (or anybody else, for that matter) still has that number available. Just because it's in there catalog doesn't mean that they can get it for you.
I'm not knocking your post at all, I know that Wilson has some great starters and alternators, but that Wilson number might be a "send it to us and we'll fix it" type of status.

The tag on mine is too corroded to read. Go with what Irv said- he's a pretty savvy Cockshutt guy.
