1655 Hydraulics

I recently replaced the Hydraulic Pump on my 1655, but I am still having the same problem I started with. (Apparently I misdiagnosed the cause & preformed a needless repair. Not the first time & won't be the last). When I initially preformed a pressure check it was barley registering on the gauge, maybe 100psi (have not re-checked).

The Loader is very slow, this started a couple of months ago. With weight on in the front, you have to rev. the engine up significantly to get it to lift a 1200lb bale.

Also, the steering is stiff and unresponsive (although this seemed to have improved slightly after the new pump, have not ran it much though). I am going to pull and check the pressure relief valve, I think it has the one that is pre-set, but I will see when I pull it.

Anything else to check?

If it still has the pilot operated relief valve the best fix is to get the old style valve out of a 50 series. Be sure and get all the parts including the valve seat. You set the pressure with shims.
