oliver 520 square baler

I would check your local AGCO dealer first for new stuff.

AGCO owns (Massey Furgeson, Allis, Oliver, White, Minnie Mo, Hesston, Gleaner and many more smaller former lines, etc.)

You just might luck out in that Hesston bought a lot of the Oliver hay tools when the Oliver ceased to exist. Hesston used those lines for several more years then Hesston was eventually bought by AGCO. Now whether your baler continued on I do not know.

What I am saying is that there may be a Hesston model baler similar to your Oliver baler and if that is the case then the chances of new parts then further increases.

I work at an agco dealer as a mechanic I asked a coworker in parts about it almost a week ago and she give me one of those looks.

Do you know what model Hesston baler that the parts are interchangeable so I can kind of have an idea of what to tell the parts people to look. like I said I am used to Hesston and massey. this is my first oliver.

Call McHenry Equipment @ 1-513-877-2601 ask for Harry if anyone knows he will know what will interchange with it. There an old Oliver dealership still selling parts and working on Oliver MM and Whites. Jerry has been there cense the early 60s and Harry has been there cense 1969, There is just the 2 of them there but they both know there stuff on Olivers. By the way I have 2 520 Oliver balers and that's ware I get my parts. Bandit

if I recall the Oliver 720 was the same as the Hesston 4500, depends what you need but I think the 720 and 520 shared a few parts

The main thing that I am worried about with this baler is that it has set out side uncovered for almost 2 years. The knotters have been exposed to the elements. Im more familiar with masseys and a few hesstons.

grease it up real good and spray everything down lube (wd40 or whatever you have) and see if you can roll it over by hand. hopefully the plunger isn't stuck. when I first used my 62-T the problem I had was the knotters would bust the knot off cause there was to much rust so the twine wouldn't slide, but once it got shined up, it'd go like a mad man.

I haven't brought it home yet I want the other day and soaked the knotters with WD40 and covered them up. I don't think anything is frozen up I cant move the pto shaft because of the way that it is laying.

Local Agco dealer could care less about even trying to find parts for my Oliver 620 baler.
Get manuals from the museum in Charles City. $25 each or so, and worth every cent!
Only place I have had any luck with parts has been Maibachs.
