Oliver 1800C Diesel

Im looking at an Oliver 1800C Diesel, nice tractor, everything checks out for an old tractor. Did these have any major issues or were they pretty reliable? Any info would be great.

We found out after we bought ours a couple months ago, the bull pinion gears in all 3 series are prone to splintering. The trans will still run quiet and the only way to really tell is to pull the pto housing off and look. The teeth on ours were almost half gone. It took us almost a month to track down a useable set of gears and even the ones we found arent 100% perfect. However changing them really wasnt a terrible job, in total we probably only spent about 3 hours doing the work that actally pertained to the gear swap so I wouldnt let that stop you from considering it.

I had 1-- was an easy starter, good old tractor. Mine used a lot of oil and I couldn't find anyone to touch the 310 motor so I traded it for a 200 AC
