Oliver 500 Restoration

New to this forum. Hoping to find others with tips
and useful info on Oliver 500's and 600's. Somewhere in its past the hyraulic system was gutted and thrown away at which point they fitted a cylinder to the three point. I hope to find another system from a parts machine if I can find one. Anyone know of any 500s or DB 850s that are for sale as parts? Here are a
few photos of my machine so far:

WOW! Serial 258. That's even earlier than mine. I'm glad I didn't have to do that much work on mine. Mine's just cosmetic. It had a miss in it when I bought it,the guy said it had a valve stuck. I took the tappet cover off as soon as I got it home and all that was wrong was that a push rod had come out of the lifter. It runs like a dream,I'm just collecting up the little things that I need to finish it up.

Are you in Ontario then? I don't want to take a sale from Sparky, but if it doesn't work out,I think there's one parted out at Tosch Equipment in Capac Mi,in the thumb,if you want to come across the bridge. I don't have their number right off hand, but you can find them on the net.

I'm in Texas. I called Tosch Equipment this morning and they said they dont have any oliver 500 parts.

I'm curious about the one you posted pics of in this thread:

Do you know if its still for sale in Kansas? Actaully, maybe the one sinbad67 posted pictures of is what I would like to find.

I don't know. I'm in Michigan. Somebody else posted that link. That one looked to me like a great deal though. It even looked to have the center link, and I'm finding that those are about impossible to come by.
Somebody on here stopped at Tosch's this spring and walked out back, got some pictures of one that was being parted. I wouldn't have thought they'd have gotten rid of the whole thing.
There was a guy in West Virginia who had a gas and a diesel on Craigs List for parts this spring. He didn't have the sheet metal parts that I needed. I just went through my email to see if I had his email address, but all I had was the CL address. I'm sure that won't work by now.
I'm always interested in staying in contact with anybody who has one of these little beauties though. There just aren't many survivors, especially gassers.
