Hey guys,

I have a 1964 Oliver 1650 that is dumping diesel in the oil.

Replaced transfer pump. Rebuilt injector pump. Still doing it.

Any ideas?

UncleD, years ago when I had reinstalled injection pump on my 1650 I had got it timed right ran perfect went out for a ride then pulled dipstick and diesel in the oil. After a bunch of cussing and swearing pulled pump again and seal had rolled and let fuel get by. In my repair manual says to use Roosa-Master seal compressor tool 13371 when installing pump over the drive shaft seals. Friend of mine just used a strip of a beer can and it worked. Good luck, Greg

If the seal tool is not handy just use your fingers. The thing to watch for is the pump will slide on easily when the seal is in the tube correctly. If it slides hard then the rear seal is folded over. If the seal is OK, was the brass pilot tube replaced correctly? If the loctite was used instead of epoxy I've seen them leak on the tube OD, loctite does not seal the tube grooves like the epoxy does.
