The generator brackets for a Fleetline were only used on a Fleetline, so the 550 & 1800 brackets are out. With that being said the Super models had stronger brackets.

Well guys that was fast, and thanks Greg for the pictures, after looking at the pictures I may not need anything, someone had put a different gen on it and I was thinking they had changed the brackets because I looked at a 1949 and the brackets on it was different, it had like a cast one on the bottom front and a heavier top one, so I thought they should be the same but I guess not, after seeing Greg pictures I see it has a spacer on the bottom front, and thats what I have so all is good, thanks again everyone, its good news to find out you dont need something, lol. Mike

J. Schwiebert, this generator was on the 1650 and the number is 100 309 8A8 and its 12 volt. Just wondered if was even used on Olivers. I tried looking at the Delco Remy site and could not find a match. I also have the 1650 tractor serial number 189 856 457 and model # 265 22774 is this the right engine numbers 221 320 then 163 371 and bottom number 377. Its cold and snowing out so I thought its a good time to look at numbers. Thanks Greg

Ice here to day. Snow tonight, like you said a good day to do stuff like this. One of the features of the new 50 series tractors was that alternator replaced the generators and to keep the government happy the alternators were negative ground instead of the generator and positive ground system that was used before. Also you now had to add the acid to the battery(s) when the tractors arrived. We had 2 people from Charles City stop into our store about a month before we got our first 50 series tractor and they both took time to tell me what to expect. The summer of 1964. What Delco site? I have some OLD Delco books I can look into but not today.
