I found a piece of literature for Oliver hay tools today. On page 4 they show one picture of the model 103 baler which would be later than the model 101 Baler that was mentioned earlier this week. Bale cross section size is 16 X 23. Bale weight can be up to 180 pounds, need a strong kit (or 2) on the wagon. I THINK the date of the literature is 1968. J.

In 1988 I hauled a load of sheep 1850 miles to Montana. Had a empty trailer for the ride home and we were in the middle of a drought so I made arrangements with a local dairy to buy some hay. The dairy had a 1750 and a 103 3 wire baler. 160 lb. bales of the the prettiest alfalfa I had ever seen. It wasn't fun loading and unloading the stock trailer!

I've got an Oliver 100 baler that's waiting on my "to do" list. It's got a Wisconsin V4 engine on it and it appears that replacement parts are scarce. I'm not the huge fan of projects that take up a lot of space while you scour the country looking for parts or make them yourself.

Hi don't mean hi-jack this thread but I have to ask, when I was about 10 60 yrs ago my Dad had an Oliver wire tie baler huge machine was hand tie I sat on a board bench and stuffed wires into a couple of hyd powered needles, it had a 4 cylinder Cont power unit had large gears driving the plunger etc, I've searched some on the internet but come up empty, can anyone tell more about this baler?
