Good morning,
I bought a oliver 2255 mfwd to hobby farm with and restore. I know the over under needs some work as the rear seal is leaking into transmission. I also notice the trans is hard to shift. During some of my research I found that the white over under units where updated and built stronger .
First question is would I be better off putting a newer type over under and transmission in?
I was thinking perhaps from a white 2- 180 series?, if so does anyone know what modifications would need to be done?
Does anyone know how well the 2255 overunders and transmissions hold up?
