There is a 1655 diesel just posted in the photo ads that should sell quick if it were closer to me it'd be gone already.

With no 3 speed? No thank you. Mismatched front tires and an incorrect seat to boot. The price is fair, but not a steal IMHO.

Yea but you'd be getting about $500 worth of weights and a very low hr engine.Whats a rebuild
cost on one of those engines? Company that used to be Central Tractor get $4800 for a short block for that tractor.

Now c'mon, do you really think that tractor has a $4800 short block in it? Zoom in on that picture, in 200hrs, there isn't even 6 square inches on that block or head that isn't black with gunk. What kind of rebuild do you honestly think it has? Probably a set of piston and sleeves at best so about $1000. I just get pretty skeptical of a "rebuilt" engine with 200hrs on it that's filthy.

I'm not stopping anyone from buying it nor am I saying it's a horrible deal. I just wouldn't classify it as the best deal of the century, that's all.

I kind of have to agree with the other guy. This doesn't look like any big deal. No three speed and needs rear tires. I also agree that the 200 hour overhaul claim doesn't mean much with the looks of the block. Unless he has some papers you couldn't count on much from that engine. I'll almost bet you the fender that you cannot see looks worse than the one you can. Not saying it couldn't be made into a really nice tractor but there is a lot of money to be spent there. I would think $3000 would be closer.
