There is a cockshutt 1850 mfwd for sale that I thought about buying for my grandpa. He loves cockshutts. But it has hydraulic issues. Runs good. Looks like a good start to restore. I was wondering if about 7000 would be a fair price on it? It's a diesel

I would buy it for 2 reasons. #1 it's a family tractor. #2 it's hard to find many Oliver- Cockshutt with MFWD for that price unless they are an absolute pile of junk.

I think #2 is a good enough reason. With the information on this board, the hyd could be fixed and it's still a MFWD.

He loves Cockshutts, but does he lover Olivers? If his passion is Brantford-built Cockshutts, he may not be into the 1850 at all.

He loves all cockshutt and Oliver's. He has a olicer 1850 row crop. Basically the same tractor minus the mfwd. And a 880 diesel

I have a Oliver1850D MFWD, great tractor. I had hydraulic trouble at first but was a simple fix. The O-ring at the pump discharge blew out. What kind of hydraulic problem does this tractor have? PK
