oc3 engine

I am working on the engine of oc3 crawler I moved the crankshaft about a quarter of a turn then heard a click The starter then turned it another quarter turn then stopped. I cannot get it to move now. This engine turned over in 2010 and was running in 2006. I am trying to get it started now. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If it's a gas motor, take the spark plugs out and look into the holes with a light for rust. You might wind up pulling the head, if the rust jimmed into the ring lands.

clutch stuck to flywheel?

I have the plugs out. will look into the cylinder today. the clutch petal is wedged so that the clutch is disengaged. thanks I was trying not to remove head but it looks like that might be the way to go. may not get to it today but soon. thanks again
