Side screens for Oliver 770

Back in '96 we had a 770 (Checkerboard grill/Flat fenders) destroyed in a machine shed fire. It had expanded metal side screens that I've never seen before or since. Does anyone know anything about them? We used to have a mounted 2MH picker on it and Dad possibly used them for that. (He still has the super snoot). I would like to find some to use in a restoration project.

I don't have a clue what they are worth. Maybe someone has more experience with Oliver equipment than we do and can help us out. There may be some other parts or something that go with them and if someone knows how they mount would be helpful.

I looked at the parts book today and the complete
side cover were for the gas orchard tractor , they
will fit the gas row crop if you could find them.

I don't have a photo-Sorry. Maybe one of the other posters does? What I'm picturing wasn't a complete solid side panel like the older 77's and others had, but was a complete expanded metal screen.
p.s. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to help out.

I have watched used Oliver parts for a long time. Never saw a pair of 770 screens sell and I have had them in the back of my mind to look for.
Guess it would fall in the class of what a willing buyer would pay and a willing seller would take.
One way to price them is 35 to 50 percent of the cost to fabricate them. I have had pretty fair luck doing this with other parts.

Last I knew we still had a pair, I'd have to check
to be sure though. Let me know if you cant find
any. Ross

We had an 880 with the expanded metal side screens. I know for sure they"re listed in the #74 picker parts book, and maybe in the #4 parts book. The #74 sales brochure has a good photo of them.

I always thought it was strange that Oliver made the side screens, but they never (as far as I know) made anything resembling an MW Super Snoot.

I hope the pictures of the two row corn picker screens make it. I have three screens and I really don't know if the small screen is paqrt of the system or not. I'll try to attach them.

Hi Dean
I can forward the pictures, but I'm having a hard time sending them. Would you send me your e-mail and I'll forward them to you.

Dad has a super snoot that he used on his 770. I always assumed it was Oliver made, but maybe not?
