Cummins conversion kit

you may try maibach tractor in creston ohio or these guys: http://hunleyrepairanddiagnostics.com

What would it take to stick a 3208 cat in it?

Unless you are sold on a Cummins, I would put in a Military Hercules(the number escapes me-I think it is L465 or something close) I would call Maibach first. There was a fellow near me that did a Cummins transplant and I think he still has the patterns needed. He used the old flywheel and that alone saved him a good chunk of change.
I have a new 8.3 laying in the shop. Seems like when I have time and do not have the go. When I have the go, do not have time. My father said this would happen with time passing. But, what did the old man know(I thought at the time).

Well we did a 8.3 transplant in a 2150 FWA and the only thing we had to get was a flywheel and a started and a hose , now we did have to make mod.'s to the pan to clear the ft. drive shaft and the ft. axle frame work . we found and 8.3 with a rev. sump pan and a type 2 bell housing so half the battle was done as the injection pump was the correct pump and gov.just had to turn up the RPM for PTO speed and adjust the buffer to calm it down as it was way to snappy and sounded like a blower motor . Home built four motor mounts and it was done and running . Cost less then rebuilding the Herc. seventy more horse power and better fuel economy and it starts in ALL weather with out being plugged in .
