Well to make a long story short I went to look at a loader that was on a White 2-70 to put on my 1650 and ended up buying the tractor and loader.
The good is it has a little over 2500 original hrs.
2nd owner bought it about 7 years ago and bought new
16.9X38 tires,8 ply and they're 85% at least, runs good and the transmission/rear end gears look like new.Bad is I can look at the gears because the fellow took the whole cover off the rear with the hydraulic unit, uncoupled the chain on the drive shaft, removed the battery boxes and assorted other parts to 'fix' the tractor.Original problem was the tractor sat for about a year after the owner had 2 heart attacks and then only could get the trans in the low side set of gears.I'm assuming the range shifting rail is stuck maybe a big assumption anyone know of any other problems I need to look for or things to do before putting it all back together?Paid
$1800 for the tractor and loader so I guess it was an OK deal if I can get it going without too much trouble.
