770 Ignition Help

Need a little help, I know this is simple, but I can't get it figured
out. Key switch didn't work on my 770. I jumped across the
contacts, started it up. Then I shut it off. Now I can't get it to work
- even took the switch off since I have to replace it anyway. When I
hit the two wires together - no spark, no nothing. What happened
and what do I need to do? Any help would be so appreciated!

Might want to start at the battery. Make sure all the connections are tight. If you have a prob with a bulb, you can check to see how far the juice is getting.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've given this advice: Go to your local auto parts store or Horror Freight and get a $5 test light. All of us are just going to be guessing.

I had a similar problem on my 77, turned out that the ground cable was corroded on the inside, new cable end of problem. Chuck

The guessing was all I needed. Chuck had the winner! Thanks guys, I appreciate the guesses. Solved the problem and the ol' girl started up and ran great this morning!
