building a super 88 diesel for pulling

I am building a Oliver super 88 diesel for tractor pulling. I am in the process of figuring out if i can put 4020 pistons and sleeves in the 265 motor. I am also hopeing to send the cam and injectors away to get redone. does anyone know where i could send them to get maximum performance out of the engine. And if anyone has any other suggestions on how to get power ou tof the motor i would like to hear them. Thanks

You mean 4020 gas pistons correct? So you want to make it like a 302 (99 engine) Are you going to use a 99 crank? What about pump? Turbo? You will spend less money if you go with a gas version? remember a Lanova head is a slow burn engine.

I already have the diesel motor. Would it be possible just to use 4020 pistons but still use the stock crank. I am wanting to pull stock class but have plenty of power to run 3rd gear 3.5 mph.
Can you even put 4020 diesel pistons and sleeves in the 265?

2nd gear would put you at 4 mph ,it takes alot of power to run in
3rd gear would have to stroke it to run in 3rd. a gas motor would
be the way to go , been there done that find a 310 our 320 and
bolt it in alot easier and cheeper the head on diesels really holds
them back give me a call i could give you a few pointers

I applaud you for sticking with the diesel. There
are ways to build it and be competitive. Send me
an email if you like, I'll tell you what I did to
mine.
