White 2-155 tractor

looking to buy a white 2-155 runs very good has
duals. always kept in the shed. But it does not
have low range in the power shift. whats this
tractor worth? and how much trouble to fix it.does
the rear end take tractor hyd fluid ?

i would look for a international 1466 cheaper to fix and a lot more parts availability

You're probably going to have a couple grand into the over/under repair, just guessing though. I've got 4 tractors with over/under or hydra power and about 30,000 hours total, and never had one apart. Up here, $7-9,000, depending on the rest of it. I've used Farm Oyl Ag Master hyd oil in my 2-135 for 25 years, at least with no problems. By the way, a 1466 is no comparison to a 2-155. Just my opinion.

I just had the 3 speed rebuilt in my 2-135. There was a lot wrong in mine. The bill was just shy of $3200.

Last 2-155 I bought was $9500 had new tires and was overhauled shortly before I got it,which was cheap because i bought it from the neighbors, we have a 1566 and its not even close to as nice a tractor as the 2-155 so I don't know why you'd wanta 1466 over one I know it has a few more gears than a 1566 but still wouldn't be a 2-155

I have got a IH1086 and White 2-135. Do not see how you can compare the repair costs. If you do your own work, the White's and Oliver's have worked out substantially cheaper for me.
