HP 70 standard value?

Looking at a mostly complete 1936 hp 70 standard. Good tin, missing original radiator cap, cracked cast iron grill, on cutoffs with bad tires. Runs good, shifts, drives well. Seller wants 3500. Seems high. Whats something like this worth?

It defiantly isn't worth 3500, alot of 70 Oliver's around here sell from 700-1200 around here. Every now and then there's ones that are really rough locked up sitting in groves on Craigslist for 350-500 just depends

Here's an example one on Craigslist.
Restored pretty nice and new rubber for 2950 so a unrestored one with bad rubber isn't worth 3500

Rare and desirable are 2 different things. Something can be rare but not desirable which will drop the value such is the case here. I'd say $1800-$2000 is more like it since it does run.

I don't think the hart parr will bring much more maybe a few hundred dollars. Is it like this one, sure he'd take a bit less than he's asking.

At the Evans sale in Iowa this past June heres how the 70 Standards sold..Nixons had the sale but the pictures are gone on proxibid..I wasnt there so cant tell you the condition..

Oliver 70 Hart Parr Standard $825
Oliver 70 Standard $700
Oliver 70 Standard $1900 (ran)

$3500 is way too much for the tractor you described..

I bought a OHP 70 for $500 engine was stuck, front tires shot, rears are cut offs tires are ok but not much tread, and no side tins.

I bought that ohp standard 1935 ser # under 400 has rebuilt 5 gear motor needs tires and the gentle man I got it from had all of the tin for it but the fenders and I bought them as well and I still won't have 3500 I guess if I bought new tires I would So I got a great deal
