1750 three speed

You'll have to change the bellhousing.

I think the unit is the same length between the two, but not for sure on that. Maybe someone else can speak on that?

I think there's a post on here about changing one from a 1655 into a 1650: had to change a bunch of stuff over on the dash for the lever, but you could just use the knob and just have 3 positions instead of 2.

1650 input shaft is a lot smaller pilot bearing is smaller bell housing is smaller , different throw out bearing 1750 is all larger components

Thanks for your responses. It appears it is possible but with some modifications. I'll continue to explore this and if I find what has to be done to accomplish this, I'll post the results.

It can be done, (just converted a 2-70 3 speed to the big input shaft this week) You need a throwout hub used in a 2-85 and a few other models, a 6908 bearing for the pilot, if you have a button clutch you need a disc for a 1750, if you have a fiber clutch you need a disc for a 1800A. Use the 16 bell housing.

Thanks a lot, I'm sure I'll need the larger cooler and tubes to connect it with the three speed. I appreciate all the input on this issue. There is no better place to get good advice.

Thanks again
