I'm looking at 1949 and 1951 oliver 77, anyone know if there was any changes in them at that time [ any improvements ]? Thanks for any info

The '51 may have hydraulics and I believe that late '49 or 1950 the PTO lever was switched from the left side to the right side.

Early 49s had the rigid ride seat instead of the Bostrum too.

There are all kind of difference, one being how the brakes are adjusted. The 51 will have a better system. Why not post the 2 serial numbers and we can may more intelligent remarks on what the differences are. Both may or may not hydraulics as that could be added in the field. Also they could have different options.

The serial # for the 49 is 321409, the 51 I don't have right now but will get it, I did notice the pto levers are on opposites sides.

Sorry it took so long but the 51 serial # is 345356 C77D.
