2150 Cockshutt

My nephew bought a 2150 from Western Canada. When it arrived the fuel tank was very near full. We don't know how old the fuel is. What precautions need to be taken before we try to start it. It does turn over.

The oil levels and coolant levels we can handle. The electrical system has a few things that we can fix.

Any special things with the injection pump or injectors? How long should it take to register oil pressure on the gauge provided it starts? Should it build oil pressure on the gauge before it starts just by turning it over with the starter? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Diesel Fuel just like gasoline goes bad. It oxidises. They put in
additives to slow it down, but beyond 4 years is really pushing
it.Injector pumps, injectors, etc. are way more expensive than
fuel. I'd be safe and drain it if you expect it to be over four
years or so, I'd like to see pictures if you wouldn't mind
posting. And it shouldn't read oil pressure until after it starts,
that have the same motor as my 2-155 just not turbocharged
and it takes a second or two before the gauge reads oil
pressure.

Your right some reason I thought it said 2050, the 2150 does have a turbo. My bad shoulda looked closer
