1550 rattles in reverse and draft link question.

Been driving it around a little each day, still checking things out. I get a rattling noise in R1 and R2 but not all the time. I'm thinking loose bushing on the reverse pinion. Can this be changed, if needed, from the top? Or maybe just low fluid. I don't have the elbow and pipe extension for raising fluid level yet.
When I got this thing the draft control lever was broken and the link missing. I repaired the lever and got a two-piece link from Smitty but the I&T manual doesn't say how to set the length. It only covers the one-piece and how to set it for position control. Any advice would be appreciated.

The linkage adjustment was covered in a service bulletin. I think I remember how yet but I better look it up and I work the next 3 days. Don't know on the rattle but you may also have loose bearings on the countershaft

Thanks, John. I was hoping you would see this. I got the free play set then experimented with the draft lever held all the way back with the screw. I backed off the screw a little at a time till it seemed to work right but it lifts really slow. I can't check my pressure yet. The square head on the plug is broke off. I think I'll have to drill it out. Also found a couple of welsh plugs on the head leaking. This thing has become a real project.
