Transmission fluid 1550

I looked in my manual but I can't see anything referring to my needs. On the Cockshutt 1550, There's a big screw plug by the gear shift lever. On the side there are 3 plugs,, which hole do I fill to, & what type of oil would I put in?
thanks,
John

Are you changing or adding fluid. The screw plug is the fill plug. The check plug is in the back. there should be a short pipe nipple with a cap on top. This threads into a street ell which threads into the transmission case. This is the check plug for both the transmission and the final drive. Use 80-90 gear oil. I don't remember the amount but it is close to 10 gallon. Also do you have a common 3 X 8 remote cylinder? If so we can work on your hydraulic speed problems.

johnny, my manual says oil level should be maintained at check plug opening located at rear side of right rear axle housing in the main frame. On my 1555 there is a 1/2 inch stand pipe back there that I take the cap off when I fill trans diff housing oil should be to top of stand pipe. Hope that helped. Greg

I want to add fluid. I looked into that plug hole & looks like the oil is low. So I was wondering where I would check it.

I don't have a cylinder, but may be able to borrow one, as I don't farm anymore, only live on an acreage...
When I lift the loader up & down or turn the steering wheel, it slows the motor... If I'm driving along & lift or lower the fel, I can feel the jerk where the motor slows..
