1855 brakes

With it being to wet to do much this weekend, I'm hoping to get to the brakes on the 18. One side leaks pretty bad when using the pedal, the other side seems to always be wet. Otherwise they seem to work fine. Is it just a couple o rings?

I'm looking at the I&T manual but it's not the best.

Yeah there are 2 O rings in the piston housing, one large one about 8" dia and one small 1" one in the center.
That cover can be rather hard to get off, its kinda tight on the dowels.
While yer in there you may as well check the brake discs, and replace the disc return springs and the springs on the actuator

Well.... I got the right side open.... and found the friction material completely gone on one disc and the nub is broke off the piston. Looks like I need a few more parts now. I don't suspect anything like this on the other side since this was the main reason for the job in the first place. Too bad everyone is closed now for the weekend...

On a whim I called Kraemer Farms in Fond du lac and they have everything I need, and I can get them tomorrow. Sounds like I should be able to get everything for about $100 or so, including some brake discs that are in decent shape. Good guys to deal with. They bought our 1755 for parts 2 years ago and gave us a fair price.
