I bought a pile of oliver parts from a friend and he couldn't remember what the head and block are out of . The casting no.s on the block are 157829a and below that is 221120c. The casting no. on the head is 222 02. thank you Brian

Brian: Double check your numbers, On the head you need 6 digits and you are not looking for the Oliver number. On the block double check your number. I guess I will send you an e-mail. J.

Like John said check your numbers.  The number 157 929A is a pipe elbow in the parts breakdown.   Your number for the head is a Waukeshaw number and needs six digits.

We can help you with workable numbers.

I rechecked those numbers the block is 157329a and the head has a 5 stamped in the space 222502. I hope that makes more sense Thanks Brian

It does. The block was used on the 1800 C series gas and diesel engines. Your head number is a Waukesha number. The Oliver number will be stamped in a machined surface on the manifold side sometimes in the valve cover rail or the little spot about 2 inches long near there. It will be a 6 digit number and will have at least 2 suffix letter (AS) or 3 if it has later valve seats installed in it.
