Before and After Loader pics

Here is a before pic of how the tractor looked when I purchased in in 2005. I painted the loader black in 2010 and have now re-installed it on the restored 550. It was kind of a shame to put it back on, but it has work to do and winter's coming.

I was hoping before I scrolled down that you'd painted it black. You didn't disappoint. NICE!

Super 55, the hydraulics run off of the tractor. Here is an old picture of it. The two hoses running to the back are for an external hyd. connection. It is some type of adapter block possible Vickers, or Cesna. We have spoken before about it, a long time ago. You located on on a S55 tractor and sent it to Stu in BC. I contacted him back then and he was able to send me nice notes on the adapter. Anyway, it has always worked well. I would characterize the speed of the cylinders as 'fast' for the bucket, and 'medium' for the main lift cylinders.

Yeah.. I remember that little piece off a parts tractor. Glad that Stu was able to give you some useful info. Sometimes I wish I had a loader on my Super 55, but without power steering it would be difficult to handle.

Is that the same adapter as Stu had, or did you find another? I looked at his also, with the idea of making adapters with the valve built in, like the optional remote hydraulic piece on some of the S55's and 550's. I came to the conclusion that you could just go directly off the transmission case, like this guy did, so long as the valve you're using had a pressure relief valve built in (and I think pretty much all of them do).
