Re: 1850 oliver tractor problem

Ok i have an 1850 Oliver that is leaking hydraulic fluid into the 90 weight gear oil when I took the seat off and opened the top there wasn't any hydraulic fluid around the hydraulic pump area.can anyone one tell me why this is happening thank you.

Does it happen all the time, or only when running? If only when running, it's blowing past the seal on the pump. If it's all the time then there is a hole in the pan between the hydraulics and the transmission.

could you tell me where the Draft control rod is located. Is it under the seat where the pump is I'm down that far..I know I should bye the manual but if I did I wouldn't be able to buy the parts I need.I have so much money in this tractor I cant aford to get rid of it now. So thank you for all your help.

The draft control rod is toward the back of the tractor and runs through the pan that's under the hydraulic works, that covers the transmission and rearend. I hope that makes since.
