I was told Oliver 66 row crops had 3 different gear set ups/rear end differences. Can anyone verify or tell me more about this or ways to identify? Also wondering if the 77 did this.

It is a regular speed combination. It is not the special low speed. The C66C is the identifier. Usually the B means it had or has a wide front end.

On the serial tag you will see something that says C 66, and has one of the following suffixes. The C66 the was code for a 66 transmission, and the suffix told which one you had.
C 66 D was the regular speed row crop transmission with 11/50 bevels.
C 66 C was the special low speed row crop transmission with 9/48 bevels.
C 66 F was the multiple reverse (4 forward and 4 reverse) row crop with 11/50 bevels.
C 66 E was the regular speed transmission for a Standard 66 with 13/48 bevels.
77 is the same except it would read C77-suffix. Hope thats what you needed, Ross
