'67 770 clutch RR

Remember a discussion here about replacing a 770 clutch by just taking the fuel tank off. While unbolting the feul tank, I noticed that the driveshaft coupling is one piece, not 2 halves like on my older Olivers. Will the bellhousing slip over the coupling, and how do you separate the shafts?
Sorry for the dumb questions, my IT manual is clearly fuzzy and although is says 77 Fleetline, Super 77 and 770 it seems to be mostly 77 photos..and my 770 does not have a two speed.
Thanks for the help!

there is a gap between the two shafts. the bellhousing doesn't slip over the coupler. there is two bolts in the coupling one pinch bolt and the other is a short bolt with a finger that lines up in a hole on the inside shaft. once bolts are removed coupler will slide one way or other. may have to wedge a chisel in the gap where pinch bolt was to get it to slide easier.

Larry: A 77 has a 1 piece coupler. Two piece couplers are on 60 & 70 models. Never did a 770 that way because they all had a power booster.

Yep! Thanks for the reply John. I've got two 770's, this plane jane we refer to as "old faithful" and a '58 that does have a 2 speed and lots of other extras. Thought I'd tackle "old faithful" first before tearin into the '58.
