How hard is it to take off the transmission cover of a 1955 super 55?
Does it come off just like it looks like it would or do a lot of the 3 point parts go through and are hooked to something?
Also there are two big fill plugs on top. one with a dip stick the other opens on top of a gear or syncro or something. I opened the three drain plugs underneath but there is still fluid in the hole with the dip stick. is that hydraulics?
Just got this Oliver. It doesn't run and all the fluid cavities had mass condensation water in them. it has been sitting at least ten years.
Shifter won't go into neutral and I would like to take the cover off and see what all may be damaged inside. it was in neutral when I winched it on the trailer but now seems to only shift gears on the right side.
Thanks for the help, Mitch
