2255 Lift Arms

I am having trouble with my lift arms lowering. We have to drain the hydraulic oil out of the left side lift arm for the arms to lower all the way. We then turn the tractor on and the arms raise up again with the lever in the down position. We are stumped on what is going on. We even tried to push the arms down with the skid loader and they won't budge. They will lower only a few inches but that is it. Anyone have any suggestions or might know what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks for your time. - Brad

How far are you moving the handle? Take the hose off that powers the 2 lift cylinders. stick the hose in a bucket, move thehandle down till oiland see if the oil stops flowing. Be QUICK about it inother words have someone on the key as you will drain the system in a little less than 15 seconds. Then report back.
