cockshutt 570 super engine serial number

I am trying to rebuild my herc DD 339 engine and everyone wants a serial number to order anything. I can"t find mine or the tag is missing. Where should it be? If it is gone would anyone mind letting me use their serial number so I can get parts?

it should be stamped in the block on a raised boss on the LH side about the middle of the engine just under the head gasket if I recall correctly. it will be d339H and then some number after.

dd339 should be all you need.your number will be on the intake side of the motor and about right in the center at the top by the head,could be an h motor could be a dd both should use same parts though
