Pulling a tractor..

Got a quick question.. I want to bring my Cockshutt 1550 home (no power steering). I have this hitch that hooks onto each side of the front axle, & then goes to the ball on my truck. Kind of a triangle thing. I have pulled trucks with it & it follows & turns good. Will the tractor follow behind my 3/4 ton, or do I need somebody on the tractor to steer straight & make turns??

It might work but you could also destroy your differential or transmission.

15 mph might be all you should go too....

I was thinking more like 10 mph.. I have 25 miles to bring it.. probably 2 1/2 to 3 hours. But if it would destroy my differential or transmission, I wouldn't want to do that..
I would rent a trailer, but the only one in my area is not available till the middle of Oct..
