wheel and hub question

My 1550 has 38" cast rears 161824A and 161806A hubs. They are not the original wheels and the numbers are not in the parts book. Can anybody tell me what they came from? The centers have eight clamps but indents for more in between. Also curious about the bolt pattern with nine 5/8 and four 3/4. I get the odd spacing to clear the ribs on the hub but why the two different sizes?

Do they look like this? Bandit

Mike, take the four 3/4 bolts out and you will have the regular 9 bolt spacing. My White has pressed steel rims with the 9 bolt spacing and the hubs also have the four 3/4 holes in them. Greg

On closer look yours centers are a little different than mine. There is much less clearance between the rims and the centers and the clamps are smaller. Also have one indent an hole between each clamp.

Your wheels are like the ones on my 1550. The cast centers can be dished in or out as well as the wheels can be switched from side to side to change the dish of the wheel. The ones on the 1555 were only used for a few years and are made so the centers can be used on 34inch rims and 38 inch rims using standard double bevel rims ( like JD IH and AC used). The bolt pattern on the cast center Oliver used it on all the 50 and 55 series tractors. Even my 1550 utility with 28 inch tires has the same bolt pattern. I hope this helps. Bandit
