I have a 1947 E3 that has a broken valve spring on the number 3 cylinder. the valve is still supported and the engine still runs without any harsh noises, just a bad miss with no compression on 3. Before I buy a whole new set assuming I can find new ones, I haven't called Phil yet, I'd like to try just the one spring to make sure it hasn't caused any serious damage. The only single spring I can find locally so far is out of a 40. Will the 40 spring work, or are they different?
