can i make a 1800 have 1000 shaft

Yes you can make it 1000 RPM. You need to change the gear set in the PTO housing to a 57 tooth gear and a 26 tooth pinion. Part numbers are 155569A and 155568A. Earlier serial number tractors use a 56 and 28 tooth gear set.
You could just find a dual speed PTO housing unit with both gears sets in it and just replace yours. I don't know how hard it is to find the 1000 rpm gear sets.
You can find all the part numbers on the AGCO parts book website.

You did not say if this was an 1800 A, B or C series tractor. Also what do you need to use the 1000 RPM unit for? You may be better off with a dual speed unit, we equipped a 1900 that way took the PTO out of an 1850 for a customer that did not want a PTO. Now the dual speed unit will probably only run bout 900 with the tractor wide open. ( I did not do the math)> Please explain more. To me a 1000 only set of gears would be hard to find.

It is a 1800 c we would love dual speed but the speed would not be a issue as it has a industrial diesel in it that runs a higher rpm than the old gas motor do you know where we could find all the parts

I converted an 1800 checkerboard to 1000 pto. It worked well, but I"m guessing the parts to do it will be tough to find. If it"s a newer model, you might be able to put a dual pto in.
