There is an engine listed on ebay that is out of a 1953 Oliver 66. It has it listed as oliver "super55,550,66,super66,660 farm tractor gas motor VERY VERY NICE!!!!". I don't need an engine, but was curious if that would be a bolt in for all those tractors listed.
Oliver engine on ebay.

Absolutely the engine should bolt in. But the super 55/550 ran at a higher RPM and the crankshaft on the 550 and Super 66 had counterbalanced throws on it that the earlier 66 did not have.

After looking at the photos in the ad, it looks like the engine has 1-piece crankshaft pulley, which started with the Super 66 the same time as the counterbalanced crankshaft. I wonder if the engine was maybe from a Super 66 and not a regular.

Did you notice the exhaust manifold in the pic. It exits our the center. Super 55s did do that, they are at one end of the manifold.

Hey Super 55 -
I am looking to go the other way. You know we do that here in the South :)

If you have a nice dsl from a 55 or 550 I will swap you even money for nice original running gas 66 motor.

I want my 66 to be diesel and this seems to be best way to get there. Hope all is good.
