Just wondering which way you would press this shaft out of this pump its off of a F 124 continental cockshutt 20,Would this pump work on the larger continentals like the F 140 F 162.bolt pattern is correct just don't have the bypass to the thermostat housing

I would venture to say, press the shaft this side out through the impeller,.. there could be a snapring on the other side that needs removing first.
 
Do the bees wax thing and see if that will help. Normally when you need a kit for an F model Continental water pump you need to have the casting number handy. There probably were 10 different F-model water pumps remember those engines used to be the number 1 fork lift truck engine.
 
I&T manual says to remove the impeller with a "suitable" puller. Are those slots between the vanes open so a puller can hook into them? It's hard to tell from the illustration how the bearings are retained. I'd say be very careful with that press.
