Oliver/Lull 1550

I'm trying to find info on my 1550 Oliver/Lull. My problem is that while my breaks work and grab pretty well, when applied while moving the hydro over powers them even at a idle and pulls the engine down. I feel like when the brakes are applied something should kick the hydro out or have a bypass at idle so the brakes can over come it. Also I'm just assuming it is a "hydro". The forward/reverse lever is in or out, there is no speed adjustment in it just engine throttle.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

What is the RPM of the engine at idle? Should be below 550 RPM
Reverse-o-torque may have wrong fluid and/or the torque converter may have a problem, it should act similar to any other automatic tranny. Contact:

Ask for an Operators manual, for a 1550 ind. with
reverse-o-torque. Be a good idea to have the S/N and specification numbers from the serial no. plate when you talk to them.
