Just wanted to know how hard it would be to put a 5.9 cummins in a 880 oliver. What all parts will I need. Thanks for the help

A guy with the handle 88 diesel has 88 with 5.9. He had a picture on here but I coundn't find it in archives. Tractor was at Mountain Dew farm in Delhi NY. That farm has two other pulling tractors one is called Bandit witch is multi engine modified and Reborn Binder a 1468 IH superstock. They have videos on youtube. Greg

There was quite a bit about Cummins swaps on here a few years ago, when a guy with handle Shep VA had done several. Consensus was that the Waukesha engine models (of which yours is one) had too narrow a tub, and you needed a tub from an 1850 diesel (because 1850 originally came with a Perkins, which is more the width of the Cummins). Don't know if an 1850 tub would fit with the rest of an 880 or not.
