1850 3 point lever position

My 3 point works fine with the exception of; only the top 1/2 of lever motion controls the up/down movement. To be more clear, when my 3 point quadrant lever is all the way down, nothing starts moving until I move up about 1/2 way. Then the arms start to go up and will continue to raise as I move the lever to the top of the quadrant. If I quickly move the lever from the top to the bottom, the arms stay up. When I slowly move the lever down, the arms go down beautifully and are completely down when I get back to 1/2 way. This doesn't work like my other 3 point tractors work. Is this how it is supposed to work?

I hope it is. Mine works the same way. If that's not right we both have the same problem. lol

rrlund- Thanks again for yet another question answered. If you don't mind, what is the bottom half of the quadrant used for?

Was the bottom half of the quadrant used to adjust the draft sensitivity (and hence, the depth) for 3 point plows? I seem to remember some tractors (Moline 4 Star, I think) used just one lever for both position and draft, with different portions of the quadrant being for different functions.

On the 1550 there is an adjustment right under the platform .on mine one hyd lever does not engage and i notice it will lift differnt heights there is a disc by the lever and i think there is something inside of mine thats not right according to the book the fender has to come off so this well be a winter project
